Bullying should be a crime?

According to the Canadian statistics, 1 out of every children is getting regularly bullied. The results of bullying are children being hounded to despair and if it gets worse, they could commit suicide. Therefore, should bullying be a crime? In my opinion, it should be a crime because in the past times and nowadays, it is causing many serious problems. Therefore, resolution must stand either to make it a crime from now or keep it how it is.

In 2010, 15 year old girl named Phoebe Prince hung herself to death after months of bullying in her high school. Studies now are telling us that bullying has become a serious problem. Through Facebook, Twitter, physically and verbally kids are getting bullied. (children's health) Nowadays, bullying is starting to make UN convention on the rights of the child not true at all which is "Every child has the right to feel safe at home, school and in the communities".

Bullying is when a child uses aggression and control a victimized child. Bullying could be divided into physical and psychological bullying. Physical bullying includes hitting, kicking, punching, and more. Psychological bullying include insults, threats, rumours, and more. One of the main reasons that bullying is not stopping is because not many adults are in action. Simple things such as listening to their bully problems and giving them advice could stop serious disasters such as committing suicide.

Bullying in societies is increasing little by little everyday. Bullying cannot be stopped but it could be reduced by adults getting in the action and not going to places where bullying occurs such as online websites such as Facebook. It is up to you risk it or be safe.
